Innova 7111: Performing the Steering Angle Sensor Calibration Function

Description: This guide helps you calibrate the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) using the Innova 7111 Tablet. This is important for the correct operation of your car’s safety systems like stability control and driver assistance features.

Introduction: The SAS helps your car’s safety systems work properly. If you’ve had wheel alignment, collision repairs, or parts replaced, you need to calibrate the SAS. This makes sure that your car knows the exact position of the steering wheel.

Procedures:

Step 1: Connect the Innova 7111 Tablet to Your Car

  1. Plug the Innova 7111 Tablet into your car’s diagnostic port (OBD connector). This gets information like your car’s VIN and model.
  2. On the Home Screen, choose "Workshop Tools".

Step 2: Choose “Steering Angle Sensor Calibration”

  1. The Workshop Tools screen lists options for your car.
  2. Select "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" or something similar, based on your car.

Step 3: Choose “Steering Angle Sensor Adjustment”

Pick "Steering Angle Sensor Adjustment" to start the calibration.

Step 4: Follow The Innova 7111 Tablet Instructions

  1. Make sure your steering wheel is straight (facing ahead) during this.
  2. The 7111 Tablet will show you instructions. Tap "Next" to go through them.

Step 5: Wait for Calibration

  1. The 7111 Tablet communicates to your car to calibrate. Don’t move the steering wheel while this happens.
  2. The tablet will show you some screens while it’s working.

Step 6: Calibration Done

  1. When it’s done, a screen will show you the results.
  2. Tap "Exit" to finish and leave the Steering Angle Sensor Calibration function.

Remember, the main thing is to keep your steering wheel straight and follow the Tablet’s instructions. This ensures your car’s safety systems work correctly. If you need more help or if your car is different, you can check the manual or contact support for your specific vehicle.
